The excitement of opening a new door is unlike any other. Weiss Entities was able to experience that thrill when it recently closed on a new property at Golfview Apartments in Valparaiso. The business decided to celebrate its new property staff on Wednesday, April 3.
The celebration started at 9 a.m. Angela Fielder, vice president of Real Estate Operations for Weiss Entities, described how the team would honor the new property staff.
“We just closed on this property on Friday,” Fielder said. “Our other area properties are coming by to welcome the new team to the company. We created a bunch of signs along with balloons and a complete breakfast setup in the clubhouse.”
While Weiss Entities has done some drive through parades in the past, Fielder notes that this celebration brought a unique flare for the team.
“This is the first year we’ve done something like this,” Fielder said. “It takes multiple years to get to the point of opening a new property. When we acquired this one, we thought this could be a nice way to celebrate the staff. We want to show them they’re part of a team that’s going to support them with any challenges they might face.”
Fielder, who has been with Weiss Entities for more than a decade, has a strong appreciation for the events that can create awareness and give back to show what the company is all about.
“We usually do a few community volunteer or special events each year,” Fielder said. “We want to continue to develop this whole thing with our staff and try to do more in the community. Our staff is dedicated to providing excellent customer service, and our maintenance team does a great job as well.”
She was ecstatic to see not only how creative the team was with their signs but also how seamlessly everybody welcomed the new staff with open arms.
Angela Blackwell, property manager, was on the edge of her seat for the opportunity to make this purchase have that same effect and spread positivity to local residents in the Region.
“I’m excited and looking forward to the positive changes here at Golfview and the impact it will have on the community,” Blackwell said. “I’m hoping the purchase will lead to more good relationships with the people of Valparaiso.”
Additionally, Blackwell believes this decorative celebration can turn heads in Golfview Apartments’ direction with fascination.
“I am excited to be a part of the team here at Golfview,” Blackwell said. “With the golf course so close in proximity, hopefully we can partner together for events.”
Blackwell is hopeful that the celebration today could raise some eyebrows in the community and draw their interest to what is going on at Golfview Apartments. Weiss Entities is looking forward to a future with this residence and can’t wait to get started.
In total, the team created six signs with a variety of balloons for the event. After everybody arrived, the clubhouse had fresh pastries for everyone in attendance to enjoy.
