GPR in Donaldson

I want you woven into a tapestry of love, in touch with everything there is to know of God. Then you will have minds confident and at rest, focused on Christ, God’s great mystery. - "Colossians 2:2 MSG"

GPR runs from October 30 – November 10, 2023, with the theme Woven into a Tapestry of Love. This assembly could be likened to the call of Jesus to PHJC global leadership to stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. (Jeremiah 16:16) And Saint Katharina, our foundress affirms this call when she stated, Look always to our loving God to see what he wants us to do and how he wants us to do it. (Newsletter, January 16, 1880)

GPR is a time when PHJC International leadership in nine countries where we are missioned come to take stock with the guidance of Spirit of God and Saint Katharina of  what was, what is and what  is to come. A time to keep a tap on the call to listen to the  signs of the time and act with  urgency to Christ’s invitation to renew the face of the earth.

A time to review, reflect and reimagine our communal life and the mission entrusted to us by God. A time to renew our spirit as we become attentive  to the call of wisdom to foster global communion. A time to engage in contemplative dialogue and listening to collaborative initiatives to combine resources and energies toward healthier and more effective ministerial  outreach, community life, formation practices and spiritual development.

So, as PHJC Sisters gather at Donaldson from nine countries, it speaks to me  loudly that these women are bearing witness to our divided world and affirm that what unites us is greater than what divides us.

And so, we ask the prayers of  all coworkers and partners in  the work of the Spirit. Above all we pray that the love of God will continue to walk with us and weave us into a “tapestry of love” where all are welcome to that banquet where peace, love, and justice can dance together in acknowledgement of the God of love.
