Northwest Health – La Porte and Northwest Health - Starke have announced their selections for Employees of the Year, honoring individuals who were nominated by their peers for their outstanding performance and exemplary service. “Selecting our Employees of the Year is always a challenge because we have a stellar workforce and numerous nominees, all worthy of consideration,” said Ashley Dickinson, Chief Executive Officer for Northwest Health - La Porte and Northwest Health - Starke. “Our four selections for this year each stood out in a special way. We’re fortunate to have them in the Northwest Health family.”
The winners are as follows:
Lindsey Harlow, RN – Employee of the Year, Northwest Health - La Porte.
Harlow is a Charge Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Northwest Health - La Porte. She is described as always willing to help and lend a hand at any time. She is a great resource to her colleagues, physicians, and patients. When she is on duty she ensures that her team is providing superb patient care while also working with other departments to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Rhonda Willis, RHIA, CHPS, CCS – Non-clinical Manager of the Year, Northwest Health - La Porte and Northwest Health - Starke.
Willis is Director of Compliance and Health Information Management for Northwest Health - Starke and Northwest Health - La Porte and has been with the organization for more than 25 years. One individual who nominated her described Willis as self-directed, self-motivated yet collaborative with others. She brings a sense of compassion, dedication, and integrity to the organization’s patients, families, and colleagues. Willis has high expectations for staff throughout the organization which contributes to the high level of care provided for our patients and community.
Jeremy Blosser, PharmD, RPh – Co-clinical Manager of the Year, Northwest Health - La Porte and Northwest Health - Starke.
Blosser is the Director of Pharmacy at Northwest Health - La Porte and Northwest Health - Starke. This year he led his team to implement large projects to ensure quality patient care. He is passionate about making sure the care and services provided are always in guidelines with what is best for patient safety and he stays up to date on the latest evidence-based medical practices and medication alerts.
Robert Penononi, MBA, RT – Co-clinical Manager of the Year, Northwest Health – Starke.
Pennoni is the Director of Laboratory Services for Northwest Health – La Porte and Northwest Health – Starke. He was instrumental in setting up and operating the COVID-19 testing sites and ensuring appropriate testing materials were available. He is credited with operating the testing sites efficiently and he collaborated with other departments to do so. He showed great flexibility in changing processes and staffing levels rapidly when needed – all to provide the care our communities need to keep the spread of the COVID-19 virus under control.
