National Merit Scholarship Program at Crown Point High School

Crown Point High School is proud to announce that 9 CPHS students were named semi-finalists and 7 students were named commended scholars in the National Merit Scholarship Program.  These scholastically talented seniors competed against 1.5 million students who entered the 2019 SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NNSQT).  These students are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise by demonstrating outstanding potential for academic success. 

CPHS semi-finalists are Matthew Bates, Joseph Bell, Bailey Brumbaugh, Elizabeth Leitzel, Abhi Nimmagadda, Henry Philbin, Anthony Sainato, Jason Tung and Katrina Valente.  The semi-finalists were recognized at the CPHS Homecoming football game during the “Bulldog Pride” moment. (photo attached).  The CPHS commended scholars are Haley Brownd, Brooke Ferkull, Matthew Gerona, Ana Gramosli, Kyle Harvey, Samuel Plumer and Angelina Valente.  Congratulations to all of these CPHS seniors.  We look forward to following their pursuit of academic success and future educational opportunities.
