Crown Point High School is excited to announce the development of a new community-wide event called the, CPHS Research Symposium. The Research Symposium was designed as an event that presents students with an opportunity to showcase the research they have been doing in their classes, as well as an opportunity to network with professionals that can further guide them in their post-graduate college and career aspirations.
Our student presenters are presenting on some incredible research topics including, but not limited to: “Veteran Affairs” and “Sustainable Architecture” to “The Impact of Genetically Modified Foods on a Developing Country’s Economic and Population Growth” and “Esophagectomy Complications.” It is not unknown that our students are exceptional in their academic achievements, but this Research Symposium will help serve as a platform for their academic voices to be heard throughout our NWI community.
The Research Symposium will take place on March 11th, 2020 from 6:00pm – 7:30pm. The event will begin in the auditorium with a welcome message, followed by a Keynote Speaker, and progress into the evening’s student presentations. Students who participate in the Research Symposium will present their research in a professional and collegiate level poster format. Presenting in this format creates a more intimate and conversation centered experience between each presenter and their audience.
We are looking forward to our community members and our students having this opportunity to make meaningful connections with one another.
