St. Mary Catholic Community School in Crown Point will begin accepting new students for next school year on Thursday, February 13th at 8:00 AM.
Parents typically begin lining up earlier than the 8:00 AM start time. “To my knowledge, the record is 3:45 AM,” said principal Tom Ruiz. When asked, the record setting father said, “I’ve camped out for concert tickets and for Bulls tickets back in the day. What’s more important than my kid’s education?”

Most parents arrive an hour or so early for the precious preschool and kindergarten spots. Although the school currently has space for new students at all grade levels, on occasion there is a waiting list at some grade levels, especially preschool.
The school has a reputation throughout northwest Indiana for high academic standards, offers a large number of extracurricular activities, and is supported by a very dedicated community. To learn more, visit stmarycp.org/school
