It's All About The Animals! The Porter County Animal Shelter's Be Kind To Animals Pet Care Expo is the longest running, largest and most well attended animal care event in northwest Indiana. And, just like last year, we are keeping the focus on one thing...THE ANIMALS!

The 1st Annual Active Kids Day is a free event at Central Park Plaza under the Urschel Pavilion for people to learn about various activities and opportunities for kids in Porter County. Stop by Sunday and enjoy music, vendors and more! Event is proudly sponsored by Associated Pediatricians.
April 28th - Coffee and Canvas - Van Gogh version!

Try your hand at Starry Night! This step-by-step acrylic painting class from 1:30 to 4:30 on April 28th will be held at the Valparaiso Library.
Light refreshments are provided, as well as all supplies ($30 class fee). Advance registration is required for this program.

Money raised from this event goes to the YMCA income-based scholarship program. Those income-based scholarships are given to low income individuals and families so they can participate in programs and membership.

Matt Beatty will be your tour guide for this Dune Buggy adventure to Kankakee Sands. Kankakee Sands is a Nature Conservancy property that has undergone a massive restoration effort and is now one of the best prairie habitats in the state. We will be observing birds and bison on this day trip.
