On Thursday night, some of the most influential people in all of the fields of senior care gathered at House of Kobe in Schererville to network and have a good time, all while working to assist one another within their field of senior care. Thanks to Residential Clinical Services, Amada Senior Care, and Clarendale of Schererville, a great time was had by all, a reflection of their dedication to improving the industry.
Brooke Baker-Runyon, the Director of Community Relations at Clarendale of Schererville smiled as she explained that she had only one path in life, and she took it.
“We are all in our jobs for a reason: to ultimately help the senior community in our area, this area, Northwest Indiana,” affirmed Baker-Runyun. “We're here to help.”
During the networking event attendees spent time combining ideas, sharing stories and learning lessons with one another as they met up to find out how, with their combined efforts, they could make the whole of senior care better. They celebrated the progress they have made so far in giving the finest care possible. Attendees in the senior care field have a unique view of their competition and think of them as friends, because they recognize that patients' needs may change.
Greg Farley from Amada Senior Care in Crown Point was among those in attendance. Since he and his colleague, Rob Storey, have Indiana's first Amada location, they both loved the opportunity to be a co-sponsor of tonight's event because it gives them the opportunity to make new connections in the Region. They are already trusted by many for living up to their commitment to client well-being, even if it means referring them to another facility.
"It's great to have this network of people so that when our clients need additional services, we have resources to provide those services for our clients. We like to consider Amada Senior Care as a full service agency that makes meeting our clients needs our number one priority," said Farley, co-owner of Amada Senior Care.
The night was an even larger success because of RCS’s Donna Brandy, who spent much of the evening ensuring that all who crossed her path were taken care of. There was no shortage of people talking about ways to improve the lives and care of the seniors in this community.
“I'm having a wonderful time with great people,” remarked Donna, warmly. “There's so many different services out there that can help the seniors in our community. At the end of the day, our focus is to make sure they get the best care.”
The Region is certainly lucky to have these people to serve the community, wanting nothing but the best care possible for the people they serve.
