Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Indiana - East Chicago Katherine House Club’s Annual Free Throw Marathon will take place Saturday, May 30 from 9:00 AM to Noon. Participants can get sponsors, win prizes and show off their skills to help the Club provide quality after school activities and educational programs. There will be prizes for most consecutive shots made, highest shooting percentage and most money raised.
Immediately following the Free Throw Marathon, the East Chicago Police Department and the East Chicago Fire Department will go head to head in a Basketball game. Jeff Sanders (former NBA Player and President of the National Basketball Retired Players Association-Chicago Chapter) and Greg Modzelewski (Former European Basketball Player/Coach and Assistant Basketball Coach, North Park University) will be the special guest referees as the East Chicago Police Department defends their title.
Event will be held at the East Chicago Katherine House Boys & Girls Club, 2009 East 138th Street, East Chicago. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for kids.
